‘Pupils are very proud of their school. They take pride in their work. This is evident in high quality of pupils’ artwork.’ OFSTED 2022

Art is valued in our school and we are proud to display children’s artwork throughout school for everyone to enjoy!

Children at Primrose Hill study one art unit per term and this consists of one drawing unit, one painting unit and one sculpture unit! Key artists, great artworks and aspects of culture are studied throughout and this allows children to delve deeper into their understanding of the Art world.

Children are provided with a large, high quality sketchbook which travels with them as they move through the school. It is a book that they can be proud of as they look through the quality artwork produced by themselves each year.

Twice a year, children will work with our school artist, Marie to help further develop certain skills or create extra special artworks. This time with a professional artist helps our children to further hone their skills and encourage creative thinking.

Art is CELEBRATED at Primrose Hill and the school is a gallery showcasing some incredible work completed by the pupils from EYFS to Year 6. Children are proud to see their artwork on display!
