School Dates

Please note that school will close at 3.00pm for each holiday and reopen at 8.55am on the day of return.

To enable everyone to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty the Queen, the late May Bank Holiday (originally 30th May 2022) has been moved to Thursday 2 June 2022, with an additional Bank Holiday on Friday 3 June.

The DfE have reduced the minimum number of sessions schools are required to meet in the academic year 2021/22 to allow for the additional bank holiday. As the additional bank holiday falls in the half term dates already set by the LA, the finish date at the end of the Autumn term has been amended for community and voluntary controlled schools to reflect the reduction in the required number of teaching days.

School will now close on TUESDAY 21st DECEMBER 2021.

Holidays in Term Time

The Department for Education issued an amendment to the Education (Pupil Registration) (England) Regulations 2013. This regulation is with regard to holidays taken in term time.

This amendment to the regulation came into force in September 2013

The amendments make it clear that headteachers may not grant any leave of absence during term time unless in Exceptional Circumstances.

Parents can be fined for taking their child on holiday during term time without consent from the school.

Any requests for the holidays in term time will not be granted and a Fixed Penalty Notice will be issued.

We are warning Parents and Carers in advance so that you do not book any holidays in term time and incur a fine.

Every Child Matters - Please help your child to achieve their best by making sure they are in school every day and on time.
