Holidays in Term Time

The Department for Education issued an amendment to the Education (Pupil Registration) (England) Regulations 2013. This regulation is with regard to holidays taken in term time.

This amendment to the regulation came into force in September 2013.

The amendments make it clear that headteachers may not grant any leave of absence during term time unless in Exceptional Circumstances.

Parents can be fined for taking their child on holiday during term time without consent from the school.

Any requests for the holidays in term time will not be granted and a Fixed Penalty Notice will be issued.

We are warning Parents and Carers in advance so that you do not book any holidays in term time and incur a fine.

Every Day Matters - Please help your child to achieve their best by making sure they are in school every day and on time.
